We are pleased to announce the successful completion of the landscaping project at IONA College in collaboration with Plan Group. This initiative has transformed the campus into a vibrant, sustainable environment that enhances both the aesthetic appeal and functionality of the grounds.
Gardens: Lush garden areas have been established, featuring a diverse array of native and ornamental plants that enhance biodiversity and create inviting spaces for students.
Swale Gardens: Purposefully designed swale gardens have been integrated to manage stormwater efficiently, promoting natural filtration and contributing to the overall health of the campus ecosystem.
Synthetic Turf: Durable synthetic turf has been laid in key areas, offering a versatile and low-maintenance space for sports, recreation, and gatherings throughout the year.
Irrigation Systems: An advanced irrigation system has been implemented to ensure optimal watering for the gardens and lawns, promoting sustainability and efficient water use.
Lawn Areas: Expansive lawn spaces have been created, providing students with areas for relaxation, play, and outdoor activities.
Planting: A comprehensive planting plan has introduced a variety of flora, enriching the campus environment and supporting ecological education.
Hanging Bike Racks: Innovative hanging bike racks have been installed to promote eco-friendly transportation options, encouraging students to bike to school while conserving space.
This project marks a significant enhancement to IONA College, fostering a stronger connection to nature and providing students with enriching outdoor experiences. We look forward to seeing how these new features will inspire creativity, community engagement, and environmental stewardship among students and staff.
