We are excited to announce the successful completion of the landscaping project at Goonawarra Primary School in collaboration with 2 Construct. This initiative has revitalized the school grounds, creating an engaging and functional outdoor learning environment for students.
Excavation: Precise excavation work laid the foundation for the new outdoor spaces, ensuring proper drainage and soil preparation for landscaping.
Garden Beds: Custom-designed garden beds have been installed, featuring a variety of plants that encourage hands-on learning and foster a connection to nature.
Bluestone Paving: Elegant bluestone paving pathways enhance the accessibility and aesthetic appeal of the grounds, providing safe and durable walkways for students.
Granite Sand Paths: Complementing the bluestone, granite sand paths have been created to facilitate movement throughout the outdoor areas, promoting exploration and play.
Boulders and Stepping Stones: Strategically placed boulders and stepping stones add a natural element to the landscape, offering creative play opportunities and aesthetic interest.
Irrigation Systems: An efficient irrigation system has been installed to ensure the health of the lawns and garden beds while optimizing water usage.
Lawns: Expansive, lush lawn areas provide space for outdoor activities, encouraging students to engage in physical play and relaxation.
Planting: A diverse selection of plants has been incorporated, enhancing biodiversity and providing educational opportunities for students to learn about plant life cycles and ecosystems.
Furniture: Durable outdoor furniture has been added, creating inviting spaces for students to gather, study, and enjoy their surroundings.
This project has significantly improved the outdoor environment at Goonawarra Primary School, fostering a sense of community and enhancing the educational experience. We look forward to seeing how these new features will inspire creativity, collaboration, and a deeper appreciation for nature among students and staff.
